Yet Another Floral Skirt

In the Garden

As soon as I got this garden floral fabric in, I knew it would need to be made into a midi skirt with patch pockets, and I just love how it turned out. It’s so vibrant, and it fits in with the colors of the garden this time of year. A midi skirt, simple top, and basket bag is one of my favorite outfit formulas during the spring months, and this is just another favorite look!

Design Details

This skirt design is a classic full circle skirt that hits around knee length. I added a wide waistband and patch pocket detailing for a vintage feel, and it closes with a side zipper. The fabric is a linen and cotton blend, and the heavier weight gives the skirt a lovely drape. My favorite thing about the fabric is the beautiful print, and I love that this print has so many colors in it– it matches pretty much anything!

Outfit Details

For a simple summer look, I paired the skirt with a thrifted cream colored tee. I tucked it in to emphasize the high-waisted fit of the skirt, and the combination is one of my favorites. For accessories, I added a favorite vintage basket bag and a secondhand denim jacket. The addition of a denim jacket helps to give the looks a more relaxed feel– it’s perfect for running errands or heading to work!
