As soon as I got this garden floral fabric in, I knew it would need to be made into a midi skirt with patch pockets, and I just love how it turned out. It’s so vibrant, and it fits in with the colors of the garden this time of year. A midi skirt, simple top, and basket bag is one of my favorite outfit formulas during the spring months, and this is just another favorite look!
When I first started blogging way back in 2011, one of my favorite types of posts to share were my monthly goal posts. It’s been such a long time since I’ve put one of these together, but I recently realized that I really missed creating them, so today I’m making the effort to try to get back into the habit of posting a list each month. Recently I thought it would be fun to delve into a bit of fashion history, and find five pieces in my wardrobe that have been in style for at least fifty years. As much as I love a good statement piece or floral print, these pieces wouldn’t go very far without a classic foundation of basics. Each of the five pieces I’m sharing today would be just as at home in my grandmother’s wardrobe as they would in mine, a true testament to their classic nature.
