A Summer Travel Wishlist

With a summer trip quickly approaching, I’ve had my eye on a few different things that I think would be perfect for globetrotting and that would fill some gaps in my wardrobe. I’m sure many of you are off on summer adventures as well, so I thought I’d share my wishlist with you today! My destination this summer is the United Kingdom, and I’ll be spending a month exploring Ireland and England which I’m incredibly excited about. Many of these items are perfect for the rainy climate I’m bound for, but with a good mix of summer styles.

A Cream Beret

I got really into wearing a beret this past winter, especially when it rains! The wool fabric is wonderful at repelling water, and since I have bangs I find it helpful to wear a hat when the weather isn’t the best. I love this cream-colored option from Brixton. It would go with so many outfits!

A Two Piece Set

When I saw this white cotton two piece in Gal Meets Glam’s most recent collection, I immediately though of how perfect it would be for travel. You could of course wear the set together, but I would also pair the skirt with a striped tee and sneakers or wear the top with jeans. It’s such a versatile idea!

L.L. Bean Boots

Since I’m headed to a rainy climate, I don’t want to be worrying about my shoes when I’m exploring. I’ve been wanting to get a pair of L. L. Bean boots for a long time, and I think this is the perfect opportunity. They are a mix of rubber and leather and are handmade in Maine. I love that they don’t have a super bulky line!

A Perfect Rain Jacket

Truth be told, I’ve had the same rain jacket for seven years, but I finally let it go this spring because it just wasn’t waterproof any longer. I’ve been looking for a similar style, and came across J. Crew’s Perfect Rain Jacket. Most of my outerwear is from J. Crew, and I love that the pieces are a fair price point, but also wonderful quality that will last.

An Easy Eyebrow Product

I don’t always wear a lot of makeup when I’m traveling, but I do always like to do my eyebrows. In the past I’ve carried a bulky palette with me, but I’d love to try the Glossier Boy Brow. I love that it’s compact and easy to use.

A Dreamy Suitcase

Whenever I watch old films, I always find myself dreaming of a vintage style suitcase– let’s face it, they’re so much prettier than the plastic options available today! I recently discovered Steamline Luggage, a collection of stunning vintage-inspired luggage, and I’m in love! This particular case is made of linen and has the cutest tropical lining.
