I remember seeing an old photo of Audrey Hepburn wearing the most darling pair of blue gingham trousers, so when I found these pants on a trip to the thrift store, I was thrilled. They are made of a lightweight cotton fabric, and the print is perfect for this time of year. I don’t have a lot of fun printed trousers in my wardrobe, but I think they can be a great way to add some interest to a very simple outfit. Here is a look at how I styled these gingham pants for summer.
For this look I paired the trousers with a fun white blouse. I found this top on thredUP last summer, and fell in love with the charming puffy sleeves and faux tortoiseshell buttons. The neckline is wide which keeps the sleeves from feeling overwhelming. I tucked the blouse into the trousers, and accessorized with classic espadrille sandals and a straw bag. This straw tote was a gift from Causebox, and I love incorporating it into outfits, and even using it at the grocery store.
These photos were taken at the Terry House, a beautiful Little Rock mansion built in 1840. The house and grounds now belong to the Arkansas Arts Center and house a gallery. I love exploring this neighborhood, and found so many beautiful locations I can’t wait to go back to!
