Vintage Details
Sometimes you find a piece for your wardrobe that just feels perfect, and I knew that had happened when I tried on the Cecily dress from Gal Meets Glam. This little floral frock features a stunning floral print, 1940s sensibility and lines, a full lining, and pockets! I’m not sure I could imagine a more perfect dress for the spring and summer, and it would make a beautiful choice for Easter or Mother’s Day. Today I’ve styled it with a basket bag and mules, but I could also see myself wearing it with espadrilles and a denim jacket!
Sizing, Fit & Fabric
This dress runs a bit bigger than the other Gal Meets Glam Collection pieces in my wardrobe, so if you are between sizes I would recommend sizing down. I’m typically between a 4 and 6, and went with the 4. The length hits me just bellow the knees, and I’m 5’6. The fabric is a soft ivory cotton, and it’s printed with a beautiful pink and sage green floral pattern. It reminds me a lot of vintage fabric which I just love.
Accessories & Extras
The dress features some beautiful detailing including bodice darts and a smocked waist. I added my vintage 1960s basket bag to the outfit to play on the vintage feeling of the dress, and I love the combination of the two. To finish off the look I added a pair of pale pink mules, perfect for casual or dressy occasions!
This outfit is perfection! I love the floral print, simple and elegant silhouette and the rattan accents.
Thank you so much Nicole! I love the simplicity of it, and I know I’ll wear it so much this season!
