Well hello friends!
It’s a new month, and I’m really excited to get back to consistent blogging during the month of April. Spring is here in Little Rock, and I’m so excited about fashion and styling for the new season. To kick things off this month, I’m showing you how I’ve been styling one of my favorite floral midi skirts lately. This particular skirt is a brand new one in the Bouquet shop, and I’m so excited about it.
Statement Pieces
A floral midi skirt has become a staple in my closet over the past several years, and my collection ranges from bold patterns and colors to more subtle options. I love that the colors of this peony print skirt are more subdued, and even more so when paired with a coordinating chambray shirt. My chambray shirt is another piece I wear often, and this Eileen Fisher version was a lucky thrift find! I like to style it by rolling up the sleeves and tying it in the front when pairing it with a high-waisted skirt.
Simple Accessories
When I’m wearing a fun piece like a circle skirt, I like to keep my accessories simple. For this look I chose to wear my Madewell Reid ballet flats, but I think espadrille sandals would look adorable as well. I also grabbed my thrifted straw tote bag to finish off the look. It adds a touch of a warm weather feeling to any outfit.
Location
I’ve been enjoying exploring the different historic districts of Little Rock now that the weather has warmed up, and this beautiful location was found in the MacArthur Park Historic District. It’s a lovely area to walk around and stop for a cup of coffee. Old houses speak to my soul, and there are so many beautiful Victorian Era building in this district!
I love how the chambray gives it a nice casual touch and it’s perfect for Spring!
Thank you Nicole! That’s one of my favorite things about a chambray shirt– I feel like it dresses things down just the right amount!
