Styling my Bedside Table

Recently I ordered my dream bedside table, the Penelope nightstand from West Elm in white. I love the mid-century styling, and it fits in perfectly with my decor. I’ve had a lot of fun making that corner of my bedroom cozy and cute, and I thought I’d share a few of my favorite pieces and tips with you today.

A reading light

I’ve been working on winding down in the evenings, so rather than just keeping the lights on until I go to sleep, I’m really enjoying using a task lamp for reading and last minute blog post writing. I found this brass lamp at my local Homegoods for less than $25, and the quality is wonderful. I love the brass finish, and it’s just the right amount of light.

An old-fashioned clock

In an effort to use my phone less, I purchased a traditional clock! Not only does it look adorable, but I find it very practical as well. This one is from the mid-century inspired Project 62 line at Target.

Something fresh

Be it fresh flowers or one of my plants, I love something fresh on my nightstand. There is a window right next to mine that makes it a good place for fresh plants, and I love the pop of color they provide.

Pretty art

I love my Rifle Paper Co. botanical prints, and I currently have this golden yellow one in a brass floating frame on my nightstand. It is such a pretty print, and I love the frame combined with all of the other brass elements.

Reading material

Right now I’m keeping some of my favorite black and white books displayed on this table. I love sorting books and magazines into cohesive color groupings, and the neutral black and white works so well in this corner.
